Councillor George Moore has more than 30 years’ experience in farming and business and was born and raised in the Miles and Condamine districts, where he continues to reside with his wife and two daughters.  

Cr Moore has previously served three terms as an elected Councillor for Western Downs Regional Council and from 2012 to 2016 as Deputy Mayor. He brings with him a wealth of experience in Local Government and in-depth knowledge of the region.

Cr Moore also has a passion for his community serving as Chair of the Natural Resource Management Group, Condamine Alliance and Director of Southern Queensland Landscapes as well as ton he Qld Wild Dog Barrier Fence Committee and the Wambo Shire River Trust. He has previously held Council portfolios of Environment and Health, Utilities (water and wastewater), and Roads and Plant and has previously been a member of Council's Audit Committee.

Away from work, he enjoys all aspects of family and farming life.  He also enjoys sporting and outdoor activities.
