Wandoan Polocrosse Club - Polocrosse Carnival 70 Year Celebration

During the first week of June 2022, the Wandoan Polocrosse Club held the 70 Year Celebration for the Wandoan Polocrosse Carnival.

Participants and spectators travelled from across Queensland, with the increased visitation creating an economic boost in food, accommodation and equestrian supplies.

The Wandoan Polocrosse Carnival was run by Wandoan Polocrosse Club members and dedicated community members who volunteered their time, not only for the duration of the event, but throughout the year to ensure fields and facilities are well prepared at a high standard to host the annual event.

The event was a success in celebrating an important milestone for the community, and by establishing the support of polocrosse youth within the polocrosse community to come through the ranks in not just skill, but in being active members of their clubs and local communities right across Queensland. Western Downs Regional Council was proud to support this event through the Local Events Program.
