Jacob Taylor - 2023 Youth Bull Riders World Finals

In August of 2023, athlete Jacob Taylor competed in at the 2023 Youth Bull Riders World Finals.

Jacob has developed a remarkable degree of achievement in his chosen field to date, with accomplishments including National Rodeo Association (NRA) Champion and Reserve Champion in the U18 Junior Bull Ride, U15 Mini Bull Ride and U12 Mini Bull Ride. Furthermore, he has become a Junior member of the NRA.  

As a 2022 NRA Champion/Reserve Champion Jacob was nominated as a representative of the NRA to attend the 2023 Youth Bull Riders World Finals held in Abilene, Texas. Funding from the Individual Excellence Program went towards helping Jacob attend the competition.

Jacob rode in 3 rounds, and finished with an incredible result of 25th in the world, out of 55 competitors in his age group.

The Individual Excellence Program celebrates and supports individuals (or teams) for their excellence in their chosen field. This program assists individuals residing in the Western Downs Regional Council area who are performing or competing at a national or international level.
