Community Activation Program Assistance to support community organisations in the Western Downs to improve planning, governance and management practices including volunteer programs. To build capacity, encourage partnerships, long-term planning and self-sufficiency.
Community Projects Program Projects that support equipment purchases, capital infrastructure, upgrading of facilities to meet standards, regulations andcommunity expectations, meet changing community needs and/or increase facility usage.
New Destination Events Program The aim of the Destination Events Program is to support new social, cultural, industry and sporting events for the purpose of attractingovernight visitation from outside the region which will deliver economic benefits to the Western Downs.
Envirogrants Western Downs Regional Council has partnered with IOLAR to offer an Envirogrants Program to support organisations undertaking beneficial community projects. If you or your community group have a initiative or idea, you can apply for grants and funding under Council’s latest round of funding.
Individual Excellence Program Celebrating and supporting individuals (or teams) for excellence in their chosen field, this program will assist individuals residing in the Western Downs Regional Council local government area who are performing or competing at a national or international level.
In Kind Assistance Program Provision of services or materials within Council’s core business at no charge to a community organisation. These services may include labour, plant and/or equipment.
Community Events Program Support for social, cultural and sporting events that celebrate our diversity, connect our communities and activate our parks, openspaces and community facilities.
Reimbursement Program The Reimbursement Program provides financial support to the volunteer management committees responsible for managing Councilowned facilities or those facilities Council is trustee of and the approved user groups or support groups of such facilities. Funding is available towards the costs of Public Liability Insurance.
Regional Arts Development Fund Program RADF promotes the role and value of arts, culture and heritage as key drivers of diverse and inclusive communities and strong regions. RADF invests in local arts and cultural priorities, as determined by local communities, across Queensland.
Water Tank Rebate Western Downs residents looking to install a rainwater tank on their property will be offered a significant rebate under a common-sense plan to boost resilience by Western Downs Regional Council.
Major Events Program The aim of the Major Events Program is to support organisations to deliver events that drive visitation, attraction, and tourisminvestment from outside the Western Downs on a recurring basis.
